On Tuesday, October 14, 2003, Steve Bartman — a 26-year old global human resources company worker from Chicago, Illinois — entered the halls of baseball history when he (along with many others) tried to catch a foul ball that was also being caught by Moises Alou of the Chicago Cubs.
Bartman succeeded, Alou failed and the Cubs lost the National League Championship Series.
