Steve DiGiorgio (born November 7, 1967, Waukegan, Illinois) is an American musician.
Steve plays custom ESP basses, especially made for him.
He is mostly seen with a F-series fretless 5-string bass in a dark green finish, but also uses a very unusual double-neck construction with a fretted and a fretless neck in one body.

DiGiorgio in particular stood out, assuming a Steve Harris-like texture and sound, taking the band into new realms of distinction.
Having psychologically lost DiGiorgio to Death (who was away a whole year, recording and touring Individual Thought Patterns), the band idled, during which time Rob Moore leaves.
Once DiGiorgio had returned to the band, a period of reconditioning ensued, consisting of demos and live gigs, after which preparations were made for the record you have in your hands now, the esteemed Elements Of Anger.

DiGiorgio later left the group and was replaced by former Testament bassist Derek Ramirez.

While it seems like the thrash scene has almost completely died and almost all the big names have ceased to exist, SADUS are among the only few bands who have survived the grunge, fl metal and hard-core take over and record company politics.
Formed in Highschool in 1984 in Antioch, CA, SADUS start off as a four-piece with Darren Travis on vocals and guitar, Rob Moore on guitar, Steve DiGiorgio on bass and Jon Allen on drums.
The whole year is spent while Steve completes the tours for the Death record, and shortly after, he leaves the band.

Steve DiGiorgio is probably my favorite bassist other than Sean Malone, and Richard Christy is definitely one of the very best metal drummers ever.
DiGiorgio is as good as ever, however, and is given a particularly prominent role.
Steve DiGiorgio and Richard Christy continue to be an unmatchable duo in thrash/death metal driven music as DiGiorgio plays fat bass figures as well as interesting funky melodies, as in the intro of "What If...?", and works his bass as an independent instrument throughout the whole album.

DEATH Human review by Marc Baum(Marc Baum)
Mastermind Chuck Schuldiner (R.I.P.) and his technical excellent colleagues Paul Masdival (g.), Steve DiGiorgio (b.) and Sean Reinert (d.) crossed infernalic, brutal death metal with progressive elements 'til their hands were closely about to break.
Although Steve DiGiorgio is an awesome bassist his bass sounds like total crap in some parts of this album.
Most of the songs are fast, with the exception of the beautifully welded instrumental "Cosmic Sea", which sounds like Pink Floyd thrown through a shredding machine and more than makes up for lack of speed with carefully placed rhythm and humming melodies.
