They had spent 9 bitterly cold days perched over 100 ft above the city streets in temperatures as low as -6, in a peaceful protest about the failings of the UK family courts.
North East coordinator Mick Kelly said "The 2 brave guys have endured enough, the cold was that bad that I ordered them to come down today".
