		Ross, who with his wife runs an electrical subcontracting business, sensibly argues that the current tidal wave of excess tax receipts flowing in at all levels of Nevada government should be plenty to fund more police officers, thus making it unnecessary to raise the sales tax for that purpose.
		Ross' arrest when he was 19 years old, a case he calls "a prank" in which he says he paid a $50 fine for attempting to sabotage a neighbor's car.
		Steve Ross is an upstanding local businessman, a plainspoken, common-sense fellow who believes existing master plans should be adhered to in order to provide "some consistency and predictability" in the fastest-growing part of Las Vegas.
