		Not long ago, Sklar spent five hours on the phone helping a mother work out life insurance red tape so that she could afford to bury the second of her two children to be killed in drug violence in three months.
		Sklar is clearly inclined toward empathy, which does not mean he is by nature funereal or lacking in a sense of humor.
		Recently Sklar was able to persuade a Baltimore County cemetery to agree to re-inter an insurance broker whose grave was perenially under ankle-deep water, preventing his widow and his son from even approaching.

		Steve recently won relief from deportation for a lawful permanent resident alien in one such case, as a result of four years of what might be called creative lawyering.
