		Bio: Sometimes referred to as the "clown prince of Christian music," singer/guitarist Steve Taylor was one of the first to bring sarcasm and satire to Christian music.
		Taylor then issued perhaps the most controversial album of his career, 1987's I Predict 1990, which included such song titles as "I Blew Up the Clinic Real Good" and "Since I Gave Up Hope I Feel a Lot Better," and due to its hostile reception, led to Taylor taking a sabbatical from Christian music.
		Soon after, Taylor decided to restart his solo career, issuing his first solo release in five years, Squint, in 1993, while a Taylor tribute album, I Predict a Clone, appeared around the same time.

	Steve Taylor - On The Fritz
		Taylor was also a member of the all-too-short-lived band Chagall Guevara (their name taken from artist Marc Chagall and freedom-fighter Che Guevara.
		Christian radio is much friendlier to the songs he has written for the Newsboys (Steve wrote the lyrics to Shine, Breakfast, and Take Me To Your Leader, three of their most popular songs, among others), but those songs aren't quite as controversial as his solo material.
		But personally, I think that Steve is someone who just gets better and better over time, so I'd say the more recent the album, the better it is. I'd say that "Squint" (his most recent) is his best album and "I Want To Be A Clone" (his first album) is his worst.

	Steve Taylor - The Lighthouse, November 1993
		Taylor depends most heavily on his pastor for guidance in his career decisions, who he gives much credit for encouragement in deciding to pursue another Christian album.
		For his new release, Taylor is joined by Chagall-mates Mike Mead (drums) and Wade James (bass), along with Phil Madeira (keyboards) and, somewhat surprisingly, Jerry McPherson (guitar).
		While Taylor admits that these and all his past songs are not autobiographical, he shares, "It is probably true that I've written songs in the past, sort of cautionary tales and they were cautioning myself as well as the listener.

		From Cornerstone 1996, Steve's cover of a song by The Newsboys (which Steve wrote the lyrics to and co-produced for them).
		Steve didn't write this one, but this is him on lead vocals.
		They have "Lions Den", a song Steve produced and wrote the lyrics for, and a live version of "Bottle Rocket" which Steve co-wrote the lyrics for.
