		Steven Wilson (born Steven John Wilson on November 3, 1967 in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England) is the lead guitarist/singer and songwriter for progressive rock band Porcupine Tree.
		As a child, Steven was forced to learn the guitar and, needless to say, like most kids who are obliged to do something, he didn't enjoy it, so the lessons stopped taking place once his parents decided to quit wasting their money.

		Steven Wilson was found guilty by a jury at Birmingham Crown Court of stabbing his sons Brad, seven, and Brett, eight, with a screwdriver.
		Wilson, who had denied the charges, told the jury Albanian gunmen had committed the killings, maintaining that he had lied when he confessed to 999 operators that he was responsible for the deaths.

	Blackfield - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Blackfield is a music group, a collaboration between Porcupine Tree founder and lead singer Steven Wilson and Israeli pop superstar Aviv Geffen.
		Originally planned as an EP for a 2001 release, the band's debut album blossomed into a full-length recording, and was released in Israel and Europe in 2004, and the United States in 2005.
		Wilson and Geffen are currently recording a follow up album, to be released later this year.

	Is Steven Wilson a musical genius?
		I find it, for the most part, counter-intuitive, and for the past 10 years of the genre, bands have just been re-hashing what was already defined in the 80’s.
		Most bands are content to keep rehashing their sound over and over without really expanding their horizons in order to keep the hits coming and yet Steven continues to explore soundscapes and genres and ideas and incorporate new things into his sound without fear of how it will be accepted.
		I was rather amazed and proud of him and PT when I read a short article in the renowned German weekly news magazine "Der Spiegel" which said that Steven Wilson was one of the last musical geniuses alive.
