"Stingray" is one of three Gerry Anderson supermarionation series ("Fireball XL-5" and "Thunderbirds" being the others) that should be turned into big-budget live-action movies--if the producer of such movies keeps them true to the spirit of the original TV shows.
This show was awesome, Stepehen J. Cannell who made about half the top ten shows in the 80's made it and said it was his favorite idea.
It was my favorite show and before it was cancelled I started my own campaign to keep it on the air distributing flyers, writing letters, etc. I even had the personalized license plate EGW-769 as seen on the vette in many episodes.
