 Facilities Administration - Brief Introduction to STIP

 300-35 Short Term Investment Pool (STIP)
STIP income earned each quarter by campus funds is distributed by grouping the funds by category (see table below) and prorating the available income based on the three-month average financial fund balance shown in the University or the campus general ledger.
STIP income is earned (or charged) on all medical compensation funds (professional fee funds) according to the average quarterly financial fund balance, whether surplus or deficit.
For ease in distribution, STIP income for this category is received in a lump sum and transferred to Group V for distribution on an individual fund basis.

  NJDOT Statewide Transportation Improvement Program FY 2005 - 07
AC projects are to be listed individually in the TIP and STIP in both the year that the project is to be implemented and the year in which the conversion is to take place.
The STIP may be modified or amended at anytime according to the procedures set forth in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for TIP/STIP changes between the three MPOs, NJ TRANSIT, and the NJDOT.
STIP changes, once approved by the MPOs in concert with either NJ TRANSIT or the NJDOT, are forwarded to the FHWA and/or FTA for their approval, when necessary.

 WSDOT Statewide Transportation Improvement Program
Currently, the STIP is a three-year, fiscally constrained and prioritized program of transportation projects, compiled from local and regional plans, along with the WTP, which provides a backbone for developing projects for the intermodal transportation network in the State of Washington.

 MTC -- Funding -- STIP
The STIP is a multi-year capital improvement program of transportation projects on and off the State Highway System, funded with revenues from the State Highway Account and other funding sources.
As the Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA) for the Bay Area, MTC is responsible for developing regional project priorities for the RTIP for the nine counties of the Bay Area.
MTC adopted the RTIP on April 28, 2004 and submitted it to the CTC for inclusion in the 2004 STIP.

 NJDOT Statewide Transportation Improvement Program FY 2007 - 2010 - Introduction
The State makes copies of the STIP available for each MPO public meeting and representatives from the NJDOT and NJ TRANSIT were present to answer questions and concerns raised by the public on our program.
The MPO and the State agree that in the development and processing of the TIP/STIP, the inclusion of an AC project in the TIP/STIP in the year the project is to be implemented signifies that the project can be converted to federal funding when federal funds become available and the decision is made to convert.

The Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) is a financially constrained program which details the utilization of Oklahoma's federal and state transportation funds appropriated for regionally significant projects requiring federal action.
The purpose of the STIP is to educate the public on future transportation projects and to assure that federal funds are spent on projects selected from approved long range plans.
The current STIP was approved by the Federal Highway Administration and the Federal Transit Administration.

The new policy distributes STIP income between the Chancellor and campus units on a proportional basis, rather than as a function of the STIP interest rate as in the past.
For certain types of funds (current and loan gifts, private grants, and Regents’ endowments), STIP (both positive and negative) is distributed by the Chancellor to the head of the relevant control unit.
Unit directors are authorized to spend STIP in their units to support research administration as suggested in the campus policy or to redistribute STIP under their control in adherence with unit policies.
