FABULOUS FOODS - Soup Stocks - Recipes and Information
Stock making is not difficult and since it makes use of scraps and leftovers that might otherwise be thrown out, it is very frugal.
Since stocks can make use of leftovers or items that might otherwise be thrown away, I find it handy to keep bags in the freezer for collecting ingredients such as vegetable scraps and meat bones.
Poultry stock is also a great way to use the bones that are leftover when you de-bone chicken breasts.

Stock market - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The stock market is distinct from a stock exchange, which is an entity (a corporation or mutual organization) in the business of bringing buyers and sellers of stocks and securities together.
Over the short-term, stocks and other securities can be battered or buoyed by any number of fast market-changing events, turning the stock market in a generally dangerous and difficult to predict environment for those people whose lack of financial investment skills and time does not permit reading the technical signs of the market.
Stock that a trader does not actually own may be traded using short selling; margin buying may be used to purchase stock with borrowed funds; or, derivatives may be used to control large blocks of stocks for a much smaller amount of money than would be required by outright purchase or sale.

Stock car racing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Stock car racing is a form of automobile racing found mainly in the United States held largely on banked, asphalt or concrete oval tracks of between approximately ½ mile and 2.66 miles (about 0.8 to 4.2 kilometres) in length, but also raced occasionally on conventional racing circuits, also known as road courses.
Modern stock cars superficially resemble standard American family sedans, but are in fact purpose-built racing machines built to a strict set of regulations governing the car design ensuring that the chassis, suspension, engine, etc. are architecturally identical on all vehicles.
Whilst it is true that stock car racing is less technically sophisticated than many other forms of motorsport, supports of stock car racing claim the relative equality of the machinery makes the racing closer and results in more of a test of driver and pit crew ability than technological advancement.

 Stock (business) - MSN Encarta
Stocks generally are negotiable, which means stockholders have the right to assign or transfer their shares to another individual.
Almost all stock transactions are “second-hand transactions.” The corporation that initially issued the stock is not directly involved.
Stocks, however, are usually the better investment during periods of inflation (a period when the prices of goods and services are generally rising) because they represent ownership of assets that will probably rise in value as fast as or faster than prices in general.
