The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) president Kittirat Na Ranong said the bourse was sending the names of individuals along with the names of two to three firms whose stocks prices were believed to have been manipulated to the SEC.
Kittirat said the exchange will give the SEC information on the identity of the stocks and people involved, transaction times and dates and the manner in which trade was conducted.
Last week, the stock exchange and the SEC, fearing the market would overheat, imposed new rules requiring retail investors to cover at least 10 percent of their credit line in a cash account with brokers before making net settlement trades -- buying and selling the same stocks on the same day.
