When he is angry and complaining (almost all of the time), Tidyup bounces him on the floor until he is quiet (this is reminiscent of my own childhood experiences with my sibling).
Just in case you think that being naughty is cool, Stoppit is shown living in a rubbish dump.
Since he is always scarily, uncompromisingly happy and owns a swimming pool when his neighbours potter about in their own filth in the dump eating nothing but gherkins, I remain unconvinced he is not a representation of a Colombian drugs lord.

It’s Tidyup from the 80s cartoon series Stoppit and Tidyup which was famously narrated by Terry Wogan, presumably taking time out from his Radio 2 show and belittling various European pop acts during Eurovision.

I don’t usually comment on blog items, but “Stoppit and Tidyup” is just a classic, I remember watching this on BBC1 13 years ago on a regular basis - it used to be my favourite cartoon when I was 5!

Of course, every episode, Isaidno had to do something really bad and Tidyup had to scream- this is about the only part of the cartoon anyone remembers, naturally.
This is a cartoon everyone should watch at least once, and, despite being a BBC cartoon, also spawned one of the greatest-ever threads on the old Channel 4 talk4 forums ;-)
