		Stormtroopers Of Death, more commonly known as S.O.D., formed in New York (A Mid-Atlantic state; one of the original 13 colonies) in 1985.
		S.O.D. would reform for a one off gig in New York City, released as the live album Live At Budokan.
		In the mids 1990s (The decade from 1990 to 1999) they toured Europe (The 2nd smallest continent (actually a vast peninsula of Eurasia); the British use `Europe' to refer to all of the continent except the British Isles), and in 1999 the second studio album was released.

		"SOD" is the type of mosh-pit ready, punk/thrash garbage rock that usually inspires rabid fanship or complete disgust.
		ALL songs rip along on about the same approach, meaning thrashy, riff heavy guitar lines, pummeling drums efficient in the double bass kick, and vocals that are barked out in the same monotone from song to song, differentiated by raw throated screams.
		This is "SOD's" strongest element, the ability to use their tools most creatively so it sounds like something fairly new, even though "SOD" and similar bands have been kicking out this kind of stuff since the 80's.

		The group played a small number of concerts, after which the musicians returned to their full-time projects and Milano went on to form M.O.D. had ostensibly been put on permanent hiatus, but a dedicated cult following grew around the record, as well as critical acclaim for the band's freewheeling melding of heavy-guitar styles.

		In the mid-80s, when extreme music of all sorts was coming together in bizarre new combinations, one band was right there applying their own wrecking ball to the walls between hardcore punk and metal: S.O.D., the Stormtroopers of Death.
		There was going to be an S.O.D. tribute a year or so back and that fell through because a lot of bigger bands couldn't get permission from their labels, one of the nastier aspects of the music business.
		The whole time I was in S.O.D., I was in Nuclear Assault and then in Brutal Truth and that even overlapped a couple of years, so I'm always in more than 2 bands at the same time.

		All was quiet with S.O.D. until '97 when they did a few reunion shows.
		One was in Germany and the rest (i think?) were in the Northeast United States.
