It might be time for municipalities like Straban Township to dust off their zoning ordinances in light of the state Supreme Court's ruling upholding Pennsylvania's gaming law, a township supervisor association official said.
Straban Township has no written rules for casinos in any of its regulations, said township zoning officer Robert Coleman, as casinos are a relatively new use in the commonwealth.
The township comprehensive plan was adopted just a couple months ago and the township had already started discussing reworking its zoning ordinances, said Supervisor Jay McDannell.

The funds are to start work preparatory to a remedial investigation/feasibility study (RI/FS) to determine the types and extent of contamination at the site and identify alternatives for remedial action.
