BRAIDS, CURVE DIAGRAMS, AND ORDERINGS (Java)
The identity element of the group is the braid in which the strings are straight lines which do not intertwine at all.
The line, which started straight, at the end of the dance becomes a (possibly) very convoluted curve in the plane, which nevertheless visits each of the integer points, does not self-intersect, and is eventually straight (beyond the points 0 and n).
It is the diagram which has the smallest number of components of intersection with the straight line, consists of perfect semicircles in each half-plane above and below the straight line, possibly some straight line segments between adjacent starting points, and so that the curve passes through gaps between the points at equal intervals.

The pathway of the generating soul is here represented by a converging line of force which, piercing the wall of the Auric Egg, descends, as is shown on the left, into the Demiurgic sphere.
In symbolism the straight line is considered masculine and significant of strength, the curved line feminine and significant of beauty.
In this diagram the divine nature of man is represented by an inverted triangle with its lower point resting in the heart.

 Theory: Feynman Diagrams (SLAC VVC)
Lines in intermediate stages in the diagram represent "virtual particles," which do not need to have the right relationship between E, p, and m, but which can never be observed if they do not!
Because Feynman diagrams represent terms in a quantum calculation, the intermediate stages in any diagram cannot be observed.
Where each diagram has a closed loop, there is an arbitrary momentum and energy flow around the loop and we must integrate over all possible choices for these quantities.

TRI - triangulations and voronoi diagrams
The voronoi diagram of a finite set of points is a very well-behaved problem and several robust algorithms are known.
A reasonable approximation of the voronoi diagram of a set of line segments, can be created by creating a dense set of points on those line segments, and computing the Voronoi diagram of those points.
The blue lines are the triangulation, the green lines are the resulting voronoi, and the multicolored fat lines are the original set of line segments.

Mazes and Labyrinths: Chapter XXI. Labyrinth Design and Solution of Mazes
With regard to the nature of the path itself, we may distinguish broadly between labyrinths with curved and those with straight paths, allowing for an intermediate "mixed" group in which part of the path is curved and part straight.
Such diagrams as these are just as useful as the actual plans of the mazes for the purpose of serving as a clue for the visitor; in fact, they are really more easily followed.
According to this conception the figure was intended as a clue to the actual labyrinth, the designs on the coins being perhaps copied from those on "souvenir" tokens issued by the priests or curators of the edifice, and indicated the right path to be taken, all other paths being omitted.

Included are the properties and relations of plane figures; angles, parallel lines, and perpendicular lines; translations, rotations, and reflections; proof techniques; simple three-dimensional geometry; and measurement concepts like perimeter, area, and volume.
For these question, the diagrams are crucial and you should pay close attention to them.

A straight-line diagram (abbreviated SLD) is a diagram of a road in which the road is shown as a straight line.
Such diagrams are usually produced by a highway department, and display features along the road, including bridges and intersecting roads.

According to NJDOT straight-line diagrams, aka the official routings, you would see that the "western" NJ 7, which is signed north-south, does not in fact turn onto the drawbridge and enter Hudson County, but rather continues straight, unsigned from the ground, and ends a few blocks away at the Newark border.
This is the old Newark Turnpike, facing west toward where it would join up with CR 508 as the latter route settles into its century-old alignment.
Everything's paved in stone, including the centerline, and there's a small piece of Newark Turnpike on the far side of the railroad tracks that prevent it from connecting straight through into CR 508.
