  Strathearn - EPA/QPWS
Strathearn is important in demonstrating the pattern of Queensland's history, built under the Anzac Cottage Scheme to provide accommodation for the families of Queensland enlisted soldiers or sailers who died during World War I. These houses were funded with the proceeds of the Queensland lottery, draws three, four and five.
Strathearn is a rare aspect of Queensland's cultural heritage as one of the last Anzac Cottages, built under the Anzac Cottage Scheme, to be held by the Public Trustee.
Strathearn is intact and in original condition, and as such is important in demonstrating the principal characteristics of an Anzac Cottage.

Duke of Connaught and Strathearn - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The title Duke of Connaught and Strathearn was granted by Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland to her third son, Prince Arthur.
The Dukedom of Connaught and Strathearn was named after one of Ireland's four provinces, now known by its modern Irish language-based spelling of Connacht.
It was speculated that in view of the warming of relations between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland in the 1990s Queen Elizabeth II might award her third son, Prince Edward, the Dukedom of Connaught.

Strathearn Glass from the Glass Encyclopedia
Strathearn Glass was the name given to the Vasart Glass company in Scotland when it was bought out in 1965 by Teacher's the whisky company.
Strathearn Glass continued to make the same style of vases, bowls and lamps as Vasart and Monart, but these are easy to distinguish because they have the company trademark, a leaping salmon, imprinted onto the pontil.
Strathearn glass is similar to both, with a return to bright colours in some examples.

Strathearn P1 Ice Pool paperweight, a piece of Scottish quartz floating in clear glass and according to the Strathearn brochure a number of Strathearn's paperweights took their inspiration from Nature and incorporated these natural materials into their weights.
Since Strathearn was just a continuation of Vasart I'm inclined to believe that Vasart had a numbering system of some sort which Strathearn just continued to use and over time filled in the available empty "P" numbers as they developed new paperweight styles or designs.
Strathearn weights with the impressed "leaping salmon" logo are quite rare and I've not seen any that I could attribute to an earlier date so far the time being I am placing these impressed "leaping salmon" logo pwts into the 1978 to 1980 time period.

Prevent Disease.com - Breast-Feeding Mothers Less Likely to Abuse Kids
Strathearn added that breast-feeding also appeared to be related to the severity of abuse inflicted on children.
The researcher found that babies who were breast-fed until they were at least 4 months old were much less likely than those who were breast-fed for shorter periods or not at all to be the subject of a substantiated report of neglect or physical abuse and intervention by authorities.
Indeed, when comparing all of the factors associated with the risk of substantiated reports of child abuse, Strathearn found that breast-feeding infants for less than 4 months was the strongest predictor of whether those infants would be the subject of substantiated reports of abuse.

These include "Ferteth" among the earls of Strathearn, and "Gartnait" among the earls of Mar. These names are far from quaint or provential: During the Heroic period (fifth—ninth centuries) they occasionally grace the king-lists of Dal Riada and Northumberland, presumably as a result of dynastic intermarriage.
After 1437 the title remained in abeyance, and in 1484, Strathearn was made a "Stewartry" (a sheriffdom of lands held directly by the Crown) under the Murrays of Tullibardine in Strathearn, descendants of Malise, Steward of Strathearn through his daughter Ada about 1284.
The office of Steward (or Stewart) was originally that of "first household officer," and as such, this Malise undoubtedly descended from a younger son of one of the earls of Strathearn the office passing with the lands of Tullibardine.

There is not very much historical information on the Ysart Bros/Vasart period paperweights covering the period of 1946 to 1964 available at this time, and there may never be, but a fair representation of many of their paperweights will be shown in my albums under the catagory of Ysart/Vasart.
The alphabetical listings are so listed because I have no idea what Strathearn's codes were for these items and some may never have had any codes, the "P" number albums start with Strathearn's first P-1 paperweight number (for their paperweight called "Ice Pool") and continues upward covering their paperweight designations up to 1980.
It is also interesting to note that Strathearn sized their weights in Minature, Small, Large and Jumbo sizes.

The most important of these Celtic earls were the earls of Strathearn, who were descended from the original dynasts of Strathearn ("earl" translated the earlier Picto-Gaelic title of "mormaer," or "great steward," the rank held by dynasts or sub-kings under the Pictish and later Picto-Gaelic high-kingship).
As earls of Strathearn, they held sway over a territory in the center of the kingdom which included Scone, the inauguration site of the medieval Scottish kings and of their Pictish predecessors.
However, the Celtic earls of Strathearn had fostered a clan in the highland part of their territory: They were descended from Laurence, Abbot of Achtow in Balquhidder, himself a younger son of the House of Strathearn.
