In the event titled as Campeon vs Campeon (Champion vs Champion) reigning WBO Strawweight champion Ivan "Iron Boy" Calderon (28-0, 6 KOs) will be taking a big step when he faces the reigning WBO Jr.
It is now up to Calderon to bring the title back to his country, or at least that is the way he feels.
Calderon, who has successfully defended his strawweight title on eleven occasions, was offered the fight because of the lack of opponents available at 105 pounds.

The result was the biggest boxing upset of the year and has put Kibiti in line for a possible shot at the World Boxing Council's strawweight title where Makeba was the ranked just behind champion Jose Aguirre.
Strawweight and mini-flyweight (47.62kg) is the lightest division in professional boxing.

Fighting in what was billed as the first title match to be held in a prison, 28-year-old Nongmai Sor Siriporn was knocked out in the seventh round by a faster and more seasoned Japanese challenger, Nanako Kikuchi, on Monday.
According to the WBC's website, Nongmai was the third-ranked boxer in the strawweight class and Kikuchi was 11th.
A first-time offender, Nongmai grew up in a poor family in the Thai capital of Bangkok, where her family had to sell clothing by the roadside to survive.

Unbeaten World Boxing Organization junior flyweight champion Ivan Caderon (29-0, 6 KOs) will be defending his title on Saturday night against challenger Juan Esquer (22-2-1, 17 KOs) in a scheduled 12-round bout at the Tingley Coliseum, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Calderon, 32, had previously held the strawweight title since 2003 before abandoning it in August to take on WBO junior flyweight champion Hugo Fidel Cazares, whom he defeated by 12-round split decision.
Instead of moving back down to the strawweight class, Calderon opted to defend at the higher weight class, hence his bout with Esquer on Saturday.
