Streaky the Supercat is a fictional character published by DC Comics.
Streaky made sporadic appearances in comic stories through the 1960s, and even became a member of the Legion of Super-Pets, a group consisting of the superpowered animals mentioned above.
Streaky has made a few appearances in the post-Crisis DC Universe, but he appears to lack any of his former superpowers.

Presumably, when all of Earth's kryptonite was transformed into iron in Superman #233 in 1971, Streaky's X-Kryptonite power source was eliminated as well, ending his super-career and making him a normal housecat again.
In this series, Streaky once again has superpowers, and is the pampered pet of Krypto's owner's next-door neighbor.

All things being equal, I think a Supercat is about the most useless thing ever, surpassing even a super-amoeba.
It's much more likely Streaky would gouge out huge chunks of the Empire state building sharpeing his claws than anything else.
A super cat would at best be a catastrophic nusance and at worst a danger to life all over the world.

Standing at approximately six inches and five and three quarter inches tall (respectively), the figures come with an extra set of hands each and a billboard which reads "Welcome to Smallville" on one side and "Welcome to Midvale" on the other.
First came Krypto the Super-Dog, followed by Streaky the Super-Cat, and now Beppo the Super-Monkey and Comet the Super Horse have been available for purchase since July 24, 2002 and October 16, 2002, respectively.

I liked Comet MUCH better than Streaky the Supercat.
I always felt Streaky was a stupid name for a cat, especially a super cat with a lightening bolt on his side, and that stupid little cape.
I always liked Comet, though, even better than Superboy's dog, Krypto.

Guess I always assumed that the same dog that Bibbo reluctantly named "Krypto" was infact, the very same dog.
The cartoon itself was pretty stupid and featured Streaky the Supercat and a Bat-Dog as well (of which there was one, sadly).
But then I'm certainly not the target audience, I'm too old by probably 15 years or so, so I wasn't really expecting some marvel of animation.
