In the game of basketball, whether on the playgrounds or on the pro level, there are essentially two types of players or styles: the fundamental kind and street ballers.
Street balling is on the other side of the spectrum.

There are no injuries, which makes sense from a game point, but there have been several times where I've had a guy gang tackled, and hit up into the air, where it would have been more satisfying for him to have been injured, but again for game balance, there are no injuries.
The problem I have with the game breakers is that since the game is an offensive orientated game, there isn't much reason to use the game breaker on offense unless scoring a TD will end the game.
The game has all of the NFL teams, as well as several "special" teams with some rapper's favorite players (sorry, not much interest in rappers, so I don’t care about who their favorite players are).

 NFL Street Review - GamersHell.com
All of the previous sports/football games were based around a stadium, limiting you with rules and regulations that are always in play.
NFL Street moves the action to the playing fields of beaches, towns, junkyards, and various other out-door settings, each with their own weather and feel; all while removing most of the rules that kept the boundaries on this country's home game fun and worthwhile.
In NFL Street, that hasn't changed, but now it is unrestricted warfare for the two teams; fighting against one another for the ball, doing all kinds of stylish moves, throws, and blocks to confuse the enemy.

NBA Street is an arcade-style three-on-three basketball game with scads of offensive and defensive trick moves.
You can create a player and take him or her through the game's "be a legend" mode, which starts you out as a lowly, skill-less street baller and allows you to build yourself into a highly-recognizable, skillful street baller.
The game has three levels of difficulty, though experienced NBA Street fans should be warned that the game defaults to the easiest setting, which will be an absolute cakewalk for anyone familiar with the game.

You'll usually find all of the same sports stars present and accounted for in the street games but you're allowed to play by the rules of the street which makes the games accessible to anyone who loves a game of basketball on the neighborhood court or a game of football in the park.
For those unsure of what separates the street games from the "real" games, NBA Street V3 is a three on three fltop brawl for the ball.
While the basic game remains pretty much the same formula, it also looks like new modes are being added to expand the game and push the experience a bit further.

Of all the EA games so far, it's odd that the one that missed the PSP launch window seems like the least polished and most damaged in the move to the system, when you'd imagine the delay was to make the game even better.
NBA Street Showdown is not a bad game - when things go well it can be just as good as the console versions - but be wary of a deeply flawed, yet still fun game of street basketball.
