Between their regular street- corner performances, they serenaded a French couple in a Parisian penthouse apartment, paid homage to the inventor of the saxophone at his doorstep in Belgium, appeared in a Danish newspaper, squabbled with Czech border guards, and got thrown in jail cell in Switzerland.
In "Sax On The Streets" we are given the rare opportunity to experience the transient life of a busker through a pen that is both honest and insatiable for new observations.
But in chatting with other street musicians about the ins and outs of the trade, I found that we all faced similar issues, shared similar experiences, and generally went through a similar process whatever the act was, be it bagpipes, bongos, banjos, accordions, violins, or even spoons.

Lacking the financial means to hire an assistant to help write music, Hardin took to the streets of New York to perform for anything the passers by would give him.
His first 45 EP release on Epic Records "On the Streets of New York" was strong evidence of this.

As in most cities that tout live music as an industry, street music is the backbone for the music scene, as most performers have gotten their starts by playing on the streets as well as performing at open mics
Also how the police treat street musicians (some think we are panhandlers).
Hopefully we will profile other street musicians here as well as have some of their music/videos on site, as well as to find that kind open mike here in Austin, as well as good venues for up and coming "unknown" artists (yes we play for tips)
