HYDERABAD: Popular Pakistan band Strings is all set to rock the city at ‘Felicity’, the annual college festival of the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) to be held from from January 30 to February 1.
Strings — which is heavily influenced by Indian classical, Bollywood hits and Western rhythms — produce a cocktail of Pakistani pop tinged with a touch of Western rock, he said.
The band will perform on January 31 and tickets are available at Prasads Imax theatre, and at all Archies galleries in the city, he said.

Before Strings was formed in 1989, I used to be a key-board player.
After their album Duur, Strings teamed up with Sagarika (Shaan's sister) for a duet called "Pal", which was recorded as part of the Channel V Jammin' programme, and with the Indian rock band Euphoria for a song called "Jeet Lo Dil", released as the official anthem of the recently-concluded India-Pakistan cricket series.

Lahore : The fiery combination of Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia, who are better known as Karachi-based band ‘Strings’, have set the Pakistani pop music scene ablaze on fire since the band’s nomination in the most favourite band award category at the 2005 MTV Asia Awards.
Kapadia said that Strings were no stranger to collaborations; their new album contained 10 tracks, including ‘Bolo Bolo’ with Hari Haran and ‘Pal’ with pop singer Sagarika.
But the band was best remembered for their trademark soaring guitar riffs on hits with ‘Anjane’ and ‘Duur’.
