With the combination of Strongheart's powerful lead vocals and brilliant songwriting, Timothy Truman's simultaneously blazing and cerebral lead guitar work, and strong support from Mike Diehm on guitars, Chip Ames on bass and Jeff Chambers on drums, this is a folk-rock band to be reckoned with.
Strongheart is a Cherokee, and the songs are imbued with Native American concerns and dreams, but there is very little overtly traditional Native American music here.

Strongheart was the screen name of Etzel von Oeringen ( October 1, 1917 - June 24, 1929), a German shepherd that became one of the earliest canine film stars.
After being trained in Germany as a police dog, he was brought to the United States by husband-and-wife film-makers Laurence Trimble and Jane Murfin.
A popular celebrity in his day, Strongheart paved the way for the much better remembered Rin Tin Tin.
