Installed the TRD rear strut bar and noticed that mounting plane of strut bar mounting bracket is uneven with the strut tower plane.
As a result, the bar wobbles (before tightening the bolt) because the 2 surfaces are not sitting flush.
My opinion is to tighten the bar down under normal vehicle load so there is no pre-stress applied to it and as you corner, the strut bar can do its work by resisting strut tower deflection in either compression or tension.

in actualilty this has been done before, i saw some strut bars on ebay for the 1st gen crx made by feel's and the rear strut bar looked and mounted exactly how i made mines to mount.
But that mini bar might be good, if used in conjunction with a full rear strut tower bar as well...
i first intended to rethread the bar but my friend brought his dad's standard tap and die set so that didnt work and one side also needed to be reverse thread so i just said fuck it and hacked the bolt down itself.

There is no correlation between the stiffness of the bars and the cause of the bent struts unless the struts had considerable impacts i.e.
However, if you aimed the reasonable chassi reinforcement from the strut bars, the adjustable may not be an answer.

I don't know what the greddy looks like, but the generic strut bars you have to spin the whole thing like a BBQ stick to get it to push out or pull in.
If your strut tower bolts were loose or had alot of play in them; if you had it pushing out it could increase camber a slight amount, if you had it pulling in it could decrease camber or make it more negative.

Location: N. Stick with the DIY from the.net, Ive never heard of jacking a car up to install a strut bar, unless you have the whole car apart, doing suspension work.
If you loosen all three of the tower bolts your strut will fall out as the DIY says, i mean it wont bc your control arm is still connected to the strut but......

I have just purchased a front strut tower bar for the WRX and I did a trial fit and it would seem that it does not fit because of the stupid AC lines.
PS I noticed that the whiteline bar is designed to be mounted lower to avoid the AC line.
Just taking into account the proximity of the strut towers to the firewall, it seems to me that triangulated bracing to the front or rear would be more effective than anything straight across.
