	Wagonaire
		The Wagonaire model was introduced by Studebaker in 1963 as part of the Lark model range.
		Nearly 12,000 wagons were built in 1963, but as Studebaker faded as a brand in the 1960's, only 1824 wagons were built in 1965.
		Recently, my Wagonaire was picked by a European manufacturer of up-scale clothing to be the feature prop in their brochure for Fall 1999 clothing.

		What made the Wagonaire unique was the availability of a sliding rear roof panel.

		In fact, Rosstude on this forum was trying to sell his wife's daily driver 66 Wagonaire just recently.
		My dilemma is that I've always wanted a Studebaker Wagonaire with the sliding roof (I know they have leak problems).

		That last blast from Studebaker was the Avanti that was introduced in 1963.
		The last year that Studebaker was produced was 1966, although the Avanti continued to be built by an independent in South Bend, Indiana.
		When he arrived, Studebaker had been bought by Packard and the new firm was not interested in the project.

		That cars in better shape than my 63 Wagonaire was JP,and its a highly optioned Wagonaire too,A/C,power rear window,etc. Im glad mine has the cloth interior though,as its in real good shape,seems to have weathered better than the vinyl.
