Sturgeon Lake is a lake in the Kawartha Lakes region of Ontario, Canada.
The lake is Y shaped and has the communities of Lindsay, Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon at its extremes.
There is also a Sturgeon Lake in the Kenora District in northwestern Ontario which is drained by the Sturgeon River.

Since they were in the Lake Ontario Counties Spring Trout and Salmon Derby, they took their catch to The Boat Doctors in Olcott to weigh in their prize.
His 22 pound, eight ounce lake trout was the top catch for that category, but history would not repeat itself as the top catch overall for the spring contest.

Me and some of my fishing brethern have rented a cottage up on Stugeon Lake for next Saturdays opening for ole big eyes.
I've only fished Sturgeon Lake from the public wharfs at Anacon Point and Pleasant Point, both on the east side of the lake...both coughed up smalleye at night, but Pleasant Point was more, er, pleasant.
I like big fish and catch a lot of em but nothing sends a zing up the old spine like when when yer travelling warp drive in wild water with a smallie dancing on the waves.....
