		In Unix-style computer operating systems, root is the conventional name of the user who has all rights or permissions in all modes (single- or multi-user).
		Generally, it is not good practice for anyone to use root as their normal user account, because simple typographical errors can cause major damage to the system.
		It is recommended to create a normal user account instead and then use the su command to switch when necessary.

	'Sasser' virus poses threat to SU e-mail - The Daily Orange - News
		The "sasser" computer worm has found its way on to SU's network and has been plaguing computers that run Microsoft Windows operating systems since May 3, said Deborah Nosky of SU's computing and media services.
		Once a computer is infected, the computer will restart itself once a user tries to access the Internet.
		Nosky suggested that users still on SU's network go to the CMS Web site to download the patch as well as run their antivirus software, which SU distributes and requires all students to have.

	Computing.Net - su succeeded
		Every time I become Super-User on my terminal, a message stating su succeeded is echoed back and I have to press the enter key to return to the command prompt.
		I think at times I was using a console; when I open a new terminal and su to root I get the "su succeeded" message after that it's fine.
		If you're just opening a standard terminal and su'ing, there should be no problem.
