  Sudetenland
Conflict over the Sudetenland began immediately after the Anschluss (March 1938).
The German Nazis - together with their Sudetengerman allies - claimed throughout the year that the Sudeten Germans in Czechoslovakia were being mistreated and oppressed by the Czech government, and demanded incorporation of the region into the Third Reich.
The Western powers urged the Czechs to comply with Germany in order to prevent a general war.

The card show a map of Sudetenland surrounding a picture of Adolf Hitler and Konrad Henlein by the city hall in Eger.
My aim is to show the changes, which were implemented first by the Sudetengerman and later by the German Postal Authorities, following the takeover of the Sudetenland by Germany from Czechoslovakia after the Munich Agreement of 1938.
In addition I will show the various services the German Postal Service offered in the Sudetenland from 1938 through 1945.

The current validity of laws stating collective guilt as legal footing is what should be a non-starter.
If there is will, a clever compromise can be found, which may well be an ex post repeal, maybe even ex ante combined with some compensation -- as discussed in a recent thread, Paroubek warmed up the proposal to compensate Sudetengerman anti-fascists (with Klaus opposing).
AEven some German/Austrian expellee organisations declared they forego the bulk of material claims, so compromise shouldn't be impossible.

It is my aim to show and explain the various aspects of the story including stamps, postal cancels, and postal forms that were in use during the period.
I will show progression of changes instituted by the Sudetengerman and later the German postal authorities after the take-over of Sudetenland.
I will then illustrate the various postal services provided by the German postal authorities.
