 Progressive Ears Album Reviews
This album is important for two reasons: one, the Christian music scene is sadly lacking in quality rock music let alone progressive rock music.
This album is one of the few that I’ve listened to that strikes a heavy spiritual chord with me. And in fact made me think about my own walk in Christ.
Their lack of musical variety is the biggest hurt to the album, and causes the music to feel monotonous, sleepy, boring, and at times, preachy.

This album, which I originally bought on vinyl and now own on CD, is, in my opinion, not only the best Bad Religion album, not only the best PUNK album of all time, but actually THE best album of all time, full stop.
So, in regards to the album "suffer", it is a fast paced, sarcasm filled album and if that isnt enough the lyrics are probably the best i have ever encountered.
Upon it's release Suffer was hailed as "Best Album Of The Year" by punk authorities Flipside and Maximum Rock 'n Roll, and has come to be thought of as having revitalized the languishing punk scene of the mid-'80s.

In using those classic Genesis albums as a source of inspiration, IQ have taken an approach which is, at the same time, both populist (for obvious reasons) and risky.
Those looking for cutting edge alt.prog may be unimpressed by this feast of retro sounds, but even they may enjoy an album which is stuffed full with strong melodies and crafted compositions and which showcases a band performing with real exuberance.
"Sacred Sound," the near twelve-minute album opener, begins with a haunting church organ sound that quickly sets the album's tone, followed by what will probably be - for this reviewer - the year's finest organ riff, which serves as the core of the song.

SUFFER is one of those essential Bad Religion records.
But all in all this is an incredible album, especially if you are a big fan of punk rock (which I am not), this along with the first ramones LP, Sex Pistols: NEVER MIND THE BOLLOCKS, the OPIV LP, DAMAGED by Black Flag, and anything by the Dead Kennedys.
This is one of those albums that you can't be a punk rocker and not own.

The album makes criticism of the lack of basic necessities for African citizens, despite a wealth at the time from oil deposits.
The second included album is I.T.T., a direct attack upon the then-president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, and International Telephone and Telegraph head M.K.O. Abiola.

Anyone who holds this album to be the best BR album obviously hasn't heard the others.
The reason so many people praise this album probably is that it's the blueprint for hundreds of punk albums and that generally the atmosphere on the album is really great.

On this, Peter GabrielÕs second album, the songs On the Air and D.I.Y. are stunning slices of modern rock circa 1978, bubbling with synths, insistent rhythms, and polished processed guitars, all enclosed in a streamlined production that nevertheless sounds as large as a stadium.
The album was recorded in several British studios throughout 2004 and features a "dancier" angle as opposed to the guitar-heavy "Get Ready." This is New Order's first record made without founding keyboardist Gillian Gilbert.

In early 2004, Epitaph released remastered versions of four Bad Religion LPs, as well as a tour film dating from 1989.
The album also rings true aesthetically, especially in light of the factional muddle the punk and hardcore scenes find themselves in today.
Suffer drives forward at a consistent, breakneck speed, the band's no-frills chording supporting Greg Graffin's still vital cautionary wordsmithing; it's not flashy, nor is it slick, but it gets the job done.

World Downfall stands as one of the first noteworthy grindcore albums, helping define the sound of the extreme variation on heavy metal.
Similar to the short-lived peers at the time -- Napalm Death, Morbid Angel, Bolt Thrower, and Carcass -- this full-length Terrorizer album tries to somehow rework the prototypical formula for grindcore in different ways so that the album doesn't suffer from blurry monotony.
For the most part the group succeeds -- guitarist Jesse Pintado deserves the majority of the credit for some truly creative guitar playing; his pre-Napalm Death performance on World Downfall keeps the album interesting and somewhat remarkable considering its age.
