		Iitlahti in Sulkava is a significant heritage landscape that has been inhabited and cultivated for over 1,000 years.

		The Sulkava 2003 saturday morning race start is going to take place the following morning under the bridge in the middle of the picture.
		The total race length used to be 65 km (40 miles) around the Partalansaari island, the biggest island in the lake Saimaa.

		The Rauhaniemi area is important clean water resource for Sulkava county, but the water intaking station here has been off use due to toxics in the water.
		It was nice thing to notice that recent cleaning of the sawmill's soil hasn't wiped off the ruins of power station and sawmill.
