Since the restauration in 1964 the former monastery church of Sulzburg is one of the re-discovered particularity of the "Markgraeflerland".
The small steeple was built in the 11th century and is one of the eldest in south west Germany.
The rural district "Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald", the town of Sulzburg and the association "Former Synagog Sulzburg e.V." organize the events in the synagog.

Sulzburg, incidentally is a small town somewhat south of Freiburg - the Kahns came from Breisach and Sulzburg
In the section at the end of the book on men that had married into the Kahn family, I found a Marx Model who had married a Jeanette Kahn in 1861.
