	Endless Summer (album) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Endless Summer is a pop compilation album by surf rock band The Beach Boys, released on June 24, 1974 (see 1974 in music).
		While all of the contents of this album was from the sixties, the cover artwork curiously reflected the Beach Boys' seventies appearance.
		Endless Summer is notable, however, for reclaiming the band's commercial glory at home, spending 155 weeks on the Billboard album chart, and peaking at #1, selling over three million copies.

		My biggest complaint about the album is it's sterileness; having been completely recorded using pro-tools, the vocals and instruments all sound cold and unemotional, and although Carl, Mike, Al and Bruce all sound great, this is the most cynical, product-driven album of their careers.
		Somehow, Summer in Paradise, from its "Environmentally Friendly" written on the packaging(Iguess it was made with reproccesed cardbourd or whatever) but unfortunately, I knew Brian had nothing to do with it and I was quite pleased with Brin's solo efforts.

		In summer, the foliage dries up completely, leaving a bare patch in this corner (this flowerbed lies in the blazing heat of the summer sun as there's no noticeable shadow in the back garden).
		When most of the summer flowers have wilted, the structure and colour of the foliage become much more apparent and so a flower garden still remains, after the flowering season, more interesting than a lawn/pasture garden, even if it all looks like a complete mess as it does on the photo.
		Every summer, I fill up empty spots in the garden with gladioli that I use as cut flowers; a very inexpensive way to get hold of cut flowers as the bulbs are cheap and you can plant them again every year.

		The album's first single, "Slither," is up-tempo with a great Slash solo, while other songs, such as "Fall to Pieces" and "Loving the Alien" are slightly slower, with Slash solos, as well.
		The only thing seemingly missing from the album is the vocal styling of Axl Rose from the original GNR to complement Slash's guitar play.
		As no surprise, the album jumped to the Billboard number one spot and sold over 256,000 compact disks in the first week of its release.

		Boosting the album to its number one spot, and adding a little spice to the kpop world, were memorable songs such as "Hero" by Shinhwa, Fly to the Sky's "Forever", KangTa's "Blue", "Make It High" by Black Beat and SES's "Just a Feeling".
		However, noteworthy tracks on the list include the title track, Hello Summer!, Destiny, I Pray 4 U Remix, Paradise, A Trip Inside a Picture (although I wonder what a Christmas melody is doing within a summer album) and Give Me a Chance by Black Beat, which I found exceptionally favorable.
		Overall, this album scored well enough for an "it was alright" to kpop listeners, but possibly a major disappointment to SM fans comparing to last year's Summer Vacation 2002.

		Cruel Summer, their third album, attempts to capture the carefree, stylish charm that drove "All That She Wants" and "The Sign" to the top of the charts, and while it has its moments, it fails to rival their previous pop pinnacles.
		It's a little disappointing that the melodic high point is the title track, a cover of Bananarama's new wave classic.
		There are almost enough solid tracks to make the album enjoyable as it plays, but there's nothing really memorable about it once it's finished.

		"Summer of Love" is nauseating and it's (probably deliberately) difficult to tell the BBs, their younger sideman, and the Baywatch cast apart.
		I still don't like "Summer of Love," but it is interesting to see Brian thrown in the mix.
		posted 08-17-2006 02:41 AM Brian's appearence in the Summer Of Love video confuses me. The "Summer In Paradise" album was the only studio album in the groups history that Brian had absolutly nothing to do with.

		Summer Of Love is truly the lowest musical point in Beach Boy history.
		I haven't heard the remixed version of the album, but I can't miagineit's much better than the original release.
		Waited all this time for a new BB's album, and instead, got a ML solo album with the BB's (except Brian) doing vocals.

	Summer In Paradise
		Intended to be a summer concept album, and featuring all the surviving Beach Boys, except Brian, it is fairly clear which Beach Boys is running the shots.
		Although Lahaina Aloha is a decent tune that wouldn't disgrace any Beach Boys album (and bizarrely features Van Dyke Parks on accordion), the damage has been done, and this remains the group's worst studio album.
		The only hope is that the group can end their studio album legacy on a stronger note, but current politics and time make this a receding possibility....

	The Albums - Sunflower
		Sunflower was probably the most underrated, and least promoted Beach Boys album of all time, which is why it only reached #151, the lowest position any Beach Boys album ever reached besides the M.I.U.album of 1978 which also reached #151.
		The song "Forever", sung by Dennis on this album and by John Stamos on the "Summer In Paradise" album of 1992 stands out as one of the classics.
		The song that really makes this album a winner is the magical "Our Sweet Love".

	Bird Of Paradise by Snowy White CD
		Mixing blues rock compositions with pop-based tracks, the album spawned a UK Top 10 hit, "Bird Of Paradise', sounding uncannily like Peter Green, both in voice and guitar tone.
		Although White continued to issue similarly styled solo outings during the next few years, further hit singles proved elusive and he formed a strictly blues-based outfit, the Blues Agency.
		Afterwards, White recruited Walter Latupeirissa (bass) and Juan van Emmerloot (drums) to form another new group, Snowy White And The White Flames, which toured and issued albums on a regular basis throughout the '90s.

		Brian Wilson retired from touring with the band in 1965 and was replaced by Bruce Johnston, although Wilson continues to perform selected shows and work in-studio with the group.
