  Summer Colony
Indeed, Summer Colony seems to be on the brink of a stellar career since she 'found' herself last summer, reeling off five straight wins, several of them by large margins.
Summer Colony is not the most imaginatively named horse, since she is by Summer Squall out of Probable Colony, but her name certainly lets you know where her quality comes from.
Probable Colony was the first foal of grade 2 SW Withallprobability; her second was the placed colt Slaytheodds, who has gone to Venezuela; the third was the winning brother to Probable Colony named Inallprobability; her fourth, the A.P. Indy filly With Ability, won the Fashion S at Belmont in 2000.

 Nuisance Wasps and Bees
Social wasp colonies are very small early in the season, but expand rapidly through the summer as more wasps are raised that assist in colony development.
The majority of bees in the honey bee colony are workers—females that are infertile solely because their diet during development was insufficient for them to mature into a fertile queen.
In this sense, a honey bee colony is often described as being a “super organism” where all the individual insects have essential roles on which the entire colony depends.

The plans of summer houses reflected this change in function: they emphasized common sitting rooms and bedrooms, and the buildings themselves were oriented to their gardens and the view beyond by means of porches and large windows.
