A famous song like "Summertime blues" is, while competently performed, not in any way revolutionary or remarkable, and Blue Cheer's own songs aren't really memorable either: "Doctor please" for example is a kind of blues workout that does not stick in the mind as it should.

Though not comprehensive, this CD captures 12 of Cochran's best-known songs, including the big hits "Summertime Blues" and "C'mon Everybody." Serious fans will need more than this CD offers, but Cochran newbies should be satisfied.
