Another thing that made me happy was that not only did we get a great issue about the Morph/Sunfire friendship, but we also got a great scene with Blink and Nocturne.

An alternate version of her - as Sunfire, with the same powers as her Marvel Universe cousin - was a member of the Exiles from issue #2 (September, 2001) till her death in issue #37 (January, 2004.
Wolverine killed her and vowed to avenge Mariko by yearly severing parts of Matsuo's body on the anniversary of her death.
Whether Wolverine continues to honor the memory of Mariko by mutilating Matsuo is uncertain.

Thunderbird, Sunfire, Nocturne, and Magik were all more interesting than Sasquatch, Namora, and Beak.
Namora's frustration with the endless humor of Morph struck me as hilarious.
It was ok for a while to have one or even two lame filler members on the team, but three at once just sucks the life out of the book.
