Gifu Infiltration-Castle Akechi Army vs Mori Army Story- The Akechi Army defeated the Hashiba Army at Yamasaki and it appeared that Mitsuhide would unify the land.
Gifu Infiltration-Castle Oda Army vs Akechi Army Story- The Oda were victorious at Anegawa forcing Mitsuhide to retreat to Gifu Castle with only a handful of troops.
Gifu Intrusion-Castle Goemon vs Oda Army vs Kunoichi Story- Goemon Ishikawa one day learned that the Plover Urn was kept inside Gifu Castle, the home base of Nobunaga Oda.
He was supported as heir to the Oda house by Shibata Katsuie and defied a request by Hideyoshi to release Sambôshi (the late Oda Nobutada's son) into his custody.
He was briefly besieged at Gifu, then commited suicide when he learned that Shibata Katsuie had taken his own life following the Battle of Shizugatake.
He is said to have been of particular use to Hideyoshi in his construction of the 'One Night Castle' at Sunomata in 1567, though if this incident even occured is a matter of debate among historians.
Tokachiro is then given a position as one of Nobunaga's sandal-bearers and is present for the Battle of Okehazama in 1560; by 1564 he becomes known as Kinoshita Hideyoshi and manages to bribe a number of Mino warlords to desert the Saito.
Hideyoshi quickly surrounded Gifu and forced Nobutaka to surrender, costing Shibata; in one stroke Katsuie had lost an ally and any element of surprise.
Samboshi's inheritance was quickly forgotten and he was stuck in Gifu, vacated by the suicide of Nobutaka after the battle.
However, I was surprised to find Gifu castle among average sized castles in Maciamo's list.
The location if Gifu castle is very nice, but the building itself is rather small (only 3 floors) and the premises don't spread all around with huge moats and stone walls very far from the dungeon, like Edo, Osaka Castle or the likes.
Especially Azuchi castle which was only around for 3 years before Nobunaga was killed and the castle mysteriously burned to the ground...it's ruins are just south of Hikone.
Sunomata is a populated place in Gifu, which is a region of Japan.
An overview map of the region around Sunomata is displayed below.

Also known as Kiso Yoshinaka (from the area of Shinano he hailed from), this rough and tumble warrior was to prove an immediate threat to the Taira - and to Yoritomo's claims of Minamoto leadership.
Somewhat earlier, Yoritomo's uncle Yukiie had taken the field and was to suffer defeat at the hands of Taira Tomomori at the Battle of Sunomata in Mino Province (March 1181).
The name Gifu was taken from the castle from which Wu Wang, ruler of the Chou, had set out in the 12th Century to unify China.

So be extra careful and dont lose any missions otherwise your muskeeters will not fire correctly.
Defense of Gifu Castle(Lower Path) --I hate this stage on Nobunagas side.
Friendly Fire -- Protect the musket unit until it can fire --Defense of Gifu Castle--(Lower Path) -------------------------- Siege Ramp -- Destroy the siege ramp, and protect the west gate Sunomata -- Take Sunomata Castle and defend the main gate Kenshin and Keiji -- Do not let Kenshin Uesugi near Keiji Maeda ???
