ScienceDaily: Scientists Issue Unprecedented Forecast Of Next Sunspot Cycle   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-23)
The NCAR computer model, known as the Predictive Flux-transport Dynamo Model, draws on research indicating that the evolution of sunspots is caused by a current of plasma, or electrified gas, that circulates between the Sun's equator and its poles over a period of 17 to 22 years.
Sunspot Cycle Closely Following Prediction -- Maximum Expected In The Year 2000 (October 20, 1998) -- Scientists at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center appear to have done a good job of predicting Cycle 23 of the sunspot cycle.
Sunspot -- A sunspot is a region on the Sun's surface (photosphere) that is marked by a lower temperature than its surroundings and intense magnetic activity.

The pilot group had a significantly lower overall incidence of cancer than the general population, which was not surprising because airline pilots as a group are in better shape and tend to live healthier lifestyles (e.g., with regard to smoking, diet and exercise) than non-pilots.
A study of female airline flight attendants in Finland and Denmark showed an increased incidence of breast cancer, which researchers have suggested is due to the crewmembers' simultaneous exposure to both magnetic fields and cosmic radiation.
At present, the Airline Pilots Association is conducting dosimetry studies for its membership and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is engaged in a study of reproductive disorders among flight attendants.

In 1912 Austrian-American physicist Victor Hess found that his electroscope discharged more rapidly as he ascended in a balloon.  He theorised that there must have been radiation entering our atmosphere from outer space, which he dubbed cosmic rays.  In 1936 he was awarded the Nobel Prize for his discovery.
A study of female airline flight attendants in Finland and Denmark showed an increased incidence of breast cancer, and a study of male U.S. Air Force pilots showed they had significantly more genital and testicular cancer than non-flying USAF officers.
In 2000, the European Union introduced legislation which requires all European airlines to monitor cosmic radiation levels during flight and to inform aircrew of the possible health risks.

Now, I’m not sure if you heard, but apparently Delta airlines have slashed their prices, so checking their website I have found that it would only cost a measly $628.30 for me to fly out to aforementioned counter and demand the records myself.
I have another year in the Inactive Reserve, which I believe puts my records at the Air Reserve Personnel Center in Denver, CO. Another check at Delta Airlines, and I can be in Denver this time tommorrow for only $583.30.
