It is thought that the Nio school was influenced in the early stages of it’s development by Smiths from Yamato province and this is bourn out to a great degree by the similar workmanship in the majority of blades found today.
Geographically Su-oh province is just to the west of Bizen so one might think that the primery influence would be just that but as mentioned in very early times it looks like the Yamato smiths arrived first.
