		All told, Mario 64x4 seems like an interesting game, but it's difficult to tell from the short playable demo Nintendo is presenting.

		The multiplayer aspect of Super Mario 64 DS seems to be just a star-collecting spree so far, but not much is known about it currently so we'll probably find out later.

		Considering that at the time of it's display at E3, it had not been released, Nintendo referring to it as "Super Mario 64x4" is the definition of a working title.
		It was called Super Mario 64x4 for a long time, and if I remember right, wasn't always destined to be a full remake, so I don't know.
		The switch from 64x4 to 64 DS happened at the same time as the enhanced single-player mode and touch-screen minigames were announced.

		There were rumors of a Super Mario 64-like title in the works for the DS shortly before the Electronic Entertainment Expo and when it came time for the conference to start, the rumor became official.
		There is also a single player mode which has a similar game play style to the original Super Mario 64; however, the playable demo was limited and not much information on the single player mode is available, but obviously single player will be the main portion of the title.

		Mario Kart comes out on the 10th of Janurary in the States and is a release in Japan (2nd of December).
		Never played Mario 64, so it's gonna be a whole new experience for me. But all arrows point to that it's going to be a new experience anyways.
