	Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Super Mario Land 2 is the first game to feature Wario, who starred in the sequel, Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, beginning the Wario Land spin-off series and replacing Mario as the star in subsequent Mario-themed Game Boy platform games.
		It was the last 2D Mario title to follow the original formula, up until the release of New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo DS in 2006, 14 years later.
		Super Mario Land 2 contains many other improvements over its predecessor: the player may now scroll the screen to the left, multiple powerups are available, levels are not linear by virtue of a map screen that permits the player to choose a level, and the game has battery backup saves.

		Super Mario Land is never nearly as much fun as Super Mario Bros., however, and its biggest failings in this regard are its control and pacing.
		Mario's movements are touchy enough to discourage me from using the run button (which I always have my thumb firmly planted on during SMB) but even with the run button depressed it's never possible to zoom through the levels of SML with the speed possible in SMB.

		Tree zone, macro zone, pumpkin zone, Mario zone, turtle zone and space zone, but in order to get to space zone you first have to enter hippo zone (hippo zone is not a level really but is a gateway to space zone).
		One more thing I really liked about this game is that when you are super Mario or fire Mario then you can do a spin jump and break blocks that >you are standing on.

		You can probably kill them with Hammers in Super Mario Bros. 3 (or a star if you run fast enough to get to them with one) but there's no way to kill them in Super Mario Land 2.
		To do the advanced attack, you have to press A to make Mario step back before Luigi lands on his head, then drive Luigi into the ground by pressing A again, and press B when Luigi is right under the enemy.
		Mario's diving attack (press B while running) is usually a good way to kill them unless they're flying high in the air.
