Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars was the last Mario game made and released for the Super Famicom/Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and was the last Squaresoft-produced game for a Nintendo video game console until 2003, with the debut of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles for the Nintendo GameCube.
In order to stop him Mario and his friends have to find seven star pieces, a form of the collect the pieces plot.
The Super Mario RPG musical score was composed by Yoko Shimomura (Front Mission, Kingdom Hearts).

Super Mario Bros. 2 received a graphical, audio, and gameplay upgrade under Super Mario All-Stars (in Japan, Super Mario Collection) on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and the Super Famicom.
Super Mario World featured Pokey, jumping Ninji (in Bowser's castle), and Pidgit (occurs as Pidgit Bill if the player completes the SPECIAL levels; the Pidgit Bill is a transformed version of Bullet Bill).

However, fans of the RPG genre in general were rather unimpressed with the overall play and design of Final Fantasy Mystic Quest and casual gamers who saw the game (and its ads which bragged about its low price tag) and were not very excited by it either.
My main complaints with Super Mario RPG were that the game was quite short for an RPG (I finished it originally in a rental and in what was under 10 hours of playing time) and the play control was somewhat unusual which took some getting used to.
While some hardcore RPG players may be somewhat turned off by the game's cutesy nature and shorter than Gary Coleman length, both younger and casual gamers may very well enjoy it, as it is designed to appeal to all ages and has a classic style RPG engine at its heart.

Mario and his cohorts are equally well drawn, and have multiple attack graphics depending on weapons equipped.
On the path to mending the road Mario is joined by the Princess, Bowser (who wants his castle back) and two new allies: Mallow (a frog?) and Geno (a 'luminous being' who has taken the form of a child's doll).
In the end Super Mario RPG is about as good as you'd expect from a Square/Nintendo collaboration, and I unhesitatingly label it a 'must have' for your SNES collection.

Some may consider Super Mario RPG to be a kind of gateway, introducing younger folk into the genre.
It's a bit lightweight, but Mario games were never epics to begin with, so you can't fault the makers for keeping with the spirit of the series.
In short, Super Mario RPG does a reasonably well job of being jolly and elementary enough to get the kids involved, while not becoming a cakewalk and thus turning off us young adults.

Squaresoft takes their RPG knowhow and combines it with Nintendo's platform goodness and we get Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
The RPG Mechanics of this game aren't as nice as they are in Chrono Trigger, It lacks the alive feel to it, and it is strictly turn based.
With all Chrono Trigger Comparisons aside, Its a very decent RPG, and it is a must for all fans of Mario.

I couldn't really stay with just Peach, Bowser or mellow but always had Geno loved the magic attacks he had where your whole screen would go all rainbow and hit them.
anyways that game led to paper mario which I would say was to easy on the N64.
Never played the GC version but truely I hope it don't just keep on with them its like FF 1 trough 7 was all I could stand then they just got so old.

Mario has a long journey ahead of himself.
He meets strange and funny characters on his way and Mario just won't stop searching until he finds a way in Bowser's Keep and teaches Smithy a lessen.
