		The Super Scoop was engaged by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to dig the 50 foot deep, 100 foot wide, three-quarter mile long trench beneath Boston Harbor that is now the Ted Williams Tunnel.
		Dutra argued that the Super Scoop was not a vessel within the intent of the Jones Act since its primary purpose was dredging not transportation and it was stationary.
		Because the Super Scooper was engaged in maritime transportation at the time of Stewart's injury, it is considered a vessel for purposes of triggering Stewart's rights to sue for negligence, the court ruled.

		The aircraft are unique in their ability to skim over the surface of a lake, river or sheltered bay, at about 80 mph, and "scoop" upwards of 1,200 gallons of water into its drop tanks.

		I purchased my first scooper 5 years ago, and ended up with this archaic design: a wooden stick that looked like it was part of a Fisher-Price push-toy, molded to a sheet-metal, shark jaw-looking contraption that took two hands to operate.
		So therefore, I was lacking a third hand to hold the poop bag, and if it was windy and I set the poop bag down while not heavily loaded, it ended up in the neighbor’s yard with a couple of its tidbits inside.
