		Uk Strat, while I can't argue your statement about late 70's strats being inconsistent, they may be, but If blinfolded you and gave you one of my 79's to play I think you would change your opinion.
		I do have a smith strat that's a bit more vintage sounding but I've had lots of more recent US and CS Strats and comparitivly speaking the 79's have a better sound than most and play great, I especially love the neck carves they were producing at that time.

		Yes, a TST is a Strat, but as you say the problem and the "solution" is the same, except that you can't use the tone knobs on a normal Strat setup for the bridge pickup, because they only work for the middle and neck position.

	Rewiring FAQ
		In some respects, the original Strat wiring is intended to let you have two tone settings, however they tend to interact, whereas the arrangement described here provides crystal clear treble on the bridge pickup regardless of where your tone control is set when using the other pickups.
		For example, on a Strat the 4th harmonic on the 5th fret on any open string creates a node right over the neck pickup and can't be heard unless you switch to one of the other pickups.
		The sound is quite similar to a vintage Strat in the bridge+middle "in-between" position, but of course not exactly like it, so that if you have a choice and it's really the Strat sound you want, you will want to use the Strat.

		Im actually not a big fan of strat shapes for comfort reasons, but this is an exception to the rule.
		It was a Dimarzio Super Distortion, very good, but too "shreddy" for classic rock (but then again, that's not what this guitar was made for anyways).
		If lost or stolen...I'd buy another 80's Super Strat Style guitar, Maple Neck/Bridge Humbucker/Floyd Rose...whatever kind I could find that was in decent shape, that I liked and that didn't cost over $300, although these seem to pop up on e-bay frequently in the $300-500 range.

		This pickup initially appealed to me because it is sized to drop right into a Strat with no pickguard modifications.
		There were some minor tonal variances in the A and low E strings, but I attribute this to differences in the Tele and Strat bridges.

		In conclusion, this guitar is well worth the money, but you might want to make a few replacements here and there (I.E. New Cable, Headphones, and Strap Lock) but this solid durable guitar is much more than it looks like.

		I've been playin with types of axes and strats suit me. Although I play a fl LP sometime ago, I use it for jazz pieces, very much like its creator.
