  Basilica of Superga - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Basilica of Superga is a church in the vicinity of Turin.
It was built during the eighteenth century for Vittorio Amedeo II by Filippo Juvarra at the top of the hill of Superga.
Sadly, the mountain at which the Basilica is found was the site of the Superga air disaster of Grande Torino soccer team in the 1940s.

On board the plane was the Manchester United football team, nicknamed at the time as the Busby Babes, along with a number of supporters and journalists.
Twenty-three of the 43 passengers on board the aircraft died in the disaster.
Their team was known as the Busby Babes, a reference to their manager Matt Busby and to the average age of the players, which was unusually young.
