	Supergirl: Maid of Might
		This Supergirl was treated poorly in comics for a long time, but she blossomed when she was merged with her "missing half", the human girl Linda Danvers, launching an ongoing series that lasted for seven years and 80 amazing issues.
		The longest running Supergirl series to date, it explored the second Supergirl's identity, powers and motivations and firmly established her as successor to the legend of the original Supergirl, Kara from Krypton.
		Supergirl was re-introduced to the DC world in 1988 as a completely different person, a clone of another universe's Lana Lang, whose superpowers were primarily mental based and included shapeshifting, invisibility, psi-blasts and superstrength and near invulnerability [History > Matrix: A New Supergirl].

		Supergirl is one of my favorite characters and she is seldom given the respect she deserves.
		On top of dealing with new emotions, Supergirl must now live a dual life, balancing her past with Linda's sorted past, becoming part of the Danvers family while staying part of the Kent family, and dealing with the frustration, pain and angst of both Matrix and Linda.
		Supergirl foils the twists and turns of their plans, which include old enemies such as Gorilla Grodd who unleashes the base and beastly nature Supergirl now contains as part of Linda.

		It is up to Supergirl to survive and adapt to living in modern America and battle with the evil witch before her family in the alien biodome die.

		He would've been the one to show Supergirl around, and at the end, Supergirl would end up saving his life, but this would never come to pass after he decided not to be in the film.
		I was one of the many who first saw 'Supergirl' during it's theatrical release, and were stunned into disbelief by plotholes you could drive a TRUCK through, some really bargain basement FX, and acting that ranged from sleepwalking (O'Toole), to blandly sincere (Slater), to 'Mommy Dearest...The Sequel' (Dunaway).
		As Supergirl never had any intention of staying on Earth longer than it took to find the Omega-hedron, the secret identity is pointless.

		Perhaps if she is infact introduced in smallville she mignt have been sent on a different rout or at a slower speed from krypton, meant with the purpose of makeing an army of supermen to concur the earth.
		Supergirl, Clark's cousin or not, should not come onto Smallville until mid-fourth season, if at all.
		Supergirl is one of those characters that should NEVER appear on the show.
