Cyanoacrylate - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cyanoacrylate is the generic name for substances such as methyl-2-cyanoacrylate, which is typically sold under trademarks like Superglue and Krazy Glue, and 2-octyl cyanoacrylate, which is used in medical glues such as Dermabond and Traumaseal.
As such it is very good at bonding body tissue, and while this effect can be a nuisance (or even dangerous) for everyday use, it has been exploited for the benefit of suture-less surgery.
Cyanoacrylates are often used to assemble prototype electronics (see wire wrap), flying model aircraft, and as retention dressings for nuts and bolts.

SuperGlue: A Sticky Solution for Meta Data Management: TDWI
SuperGlue is based on a new meta data repository but also includes pieces of Informatica’s PowerCenter extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) and PowerAnalyzer business intelligence (BI) tools.
Informatica officials position SuperGlue as a meta data management system that can provide executives and other business decision makers with personalized, dashboard-driven views that enable them to understand, audit, and report on the information flows which inform their decisions.
In this respect, he argues, SuperGlue is different from competitive meta data management solutions: “We have taken a very technical term, meta data, which makes people’s eyes glaze over, and explained it in simple terms,” he asserts.

The bottom line is that SuperGlue allows end users to easily discover the relationships that exist between different pieces of information and exploit those associations.

48 hours should be enough for the superglue to cure completely and no longer give off any gas, but cyanoacrylate does not bond well to many types of plastic without a primer (actually an etchant), one of those being the type used in the modern Leica rear caps.

At a high enough concentration, the superglue vapour reacts with the organic fingerprint deposits to form a conspicuous white polymer that is easily photographed - even when the prints are faint.

SuperGlue helps data stay legal - ZDNet UK News
Informatica claims its SuperGlue solution is the first of its kind, offering a dashboard-style interface that enables large companies to view information about the data stored on their various applications in order to better understand and more easily audit complex information.
This could be especially useful for financial institutions that need to ensure their records are consistent, valid and can be traced back through multiple systems.
Software such as SuperGlue could help keep a lid on this kind of data corruption by making it easy to track what happens to data via metadata -- or data about data.
