		A suppressor (popularly known as a silencer, although no suppressor "silences" a firearm completely), is a device attached to a firearm to reduce the amount of noise and flash generated by firing the weapon.
		The suppressor is typically a hollow cylindrical piece of machined metal that attaches to the muzzle of the pistol or rifle.
		Suppressors are most effective to the side and rear of the shooter, so a suppressor could be used by a sniper effectively.
