Yadkin County is a county located in the state of North Carolina.
The county was formed in 1850 from the part of Surry County south of the Yadkin River, for which it was named.
In the county the population is spread out with 24.00% under the age of 18, 7.50% from 18 to 24, 30.20% from 25 to 44, 24.20% from 45 to 64, and 14.20% who are 65 years of age or older.
