  The Discworld Compendium: the Books
And then the gleam is seen as the glint in a giant eye and it is eclipsed by the blink of an eyelid and the darkness moves a flipper and Great A'Tuin, star turtle, swims onward through the void.
The Discworld cycle is a creation of Terry Pratchett and is copyrighted by him (I'm using the names and all only to make people buy the books, honest!).
It describes the Discworld (as if you couldn't guess), concentrating in most books on Ankh-Morpork, the Lancre kingdom in the Ramtop mountains and the country of Death. There are also one-book excursions to places like Klatch, Sto Helit, Tsort, the Counterweight continent and so on.

Susan Sto Helit - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Susan Sto Helit, sometimes called Susan Death, is a fictional character who features in three of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels - Soul Music, Hogfather, and Thief of Time.
Susan, on the other hand, simply hands the child a suitable weapon (such as an axe or broadsword) with which to assault the monster, or goes and does it herself.
Though Susan was previously in love with rocker Imp Y Celyn ("Soul Music"), as of Thief of Time, Susan is rumoured to be in a relationship with Lobsang Ludd, the new anthropomorphic personification of Time.
