Susaye Greene is an African-American singer, noted for being the last official member to join Motown girl group The Supremes, remaining in the group during its final year of existence from 1976 to 1977.
Greene was a member of the Supremes from 1976 to 1977, and performed on their last two albums, High Energy and Mary, Scherrie and Susaye.
Greene continues to be an active member on deviantART and is preparing 3d images of her Supremextreme character for her first short animated feature film.

This is Susaye's first solo album, but I have to hold my hand up and say that I have the album that Susaye did with Scherrie Payne back in 1979 for Motown, which is a favorite of mine.
Susaye may not be a household name to many people but as a songwriter she is well known having penned "Free" by Denise Williams and co-wrote with Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson's "I Can't Help It" from the "Off The Wall " album.
Susaye covers many different styles on this album, which includes a Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein composition, "Bali Hai" from "South Pacific", which sits comfortably with the rest of the album.
