The star of stage and screen has been on something of a round-the-world odyssey after deciding to join an international charity in building a home for a poverty stricken family in New Zealand, and then flying on to celebrate her son's wedding in America and also taking in a family visit in Australia too.
Susie, famed for her comedy performance in Victoria Wood's As Seen On TV, and currently starring as Coronation Street's Bev Unwin, headed over to New Zealand to take part in charity Habitat for Humanity's home-building project earlier this year.
As soon as Susie got back home, it was straight back to filming Coronation Street, where she tells me some exciting storylines are brewing up for Bev in the coming weeks.
